About Us

Our Highest Ambition is to Help People

The Merced/Stanislaus chapter of Habitat for Humanity is committed to ensuring everyone in our community has a place to call home.

Regardless of our backgrounds, incomes, or social status, having a home is what anchors all of us to our community and connects us to one another. Homes give us comfort and security, engender a sense of pride in our neighborhood, and provide a stable place to raise a family. Having a home is the single most important part of the American Dream. With your support and donations, our team helps struggling families in our area find their footing by providing them with affordable homes. This allows them to begin the process of building financial security, attaining self-reliance, providing for their children, and sharing the civic responsibilities that make our community stronger. We can’t do it alone. We need your help. Join us, and let’s start making the world a better place, one home at a time.

Our Mission

Helping Us
You Helping Them

Volunteering

Houses are built or renovated using as much volunteer labor, tax-deductible donations, and donated materials as possible. Every family who is selected must complete 500 hours of “sweat equity.”

Donations

Thank you so much for your support in our mission to eliminate substandard housing in Merced and Stanislaus Counties. Your donation will give a local family a hand up not a hand out. You help them achieve their dream of homeownership and provide them with a simple, decent, affordable home.

Counseling

We impact neighborhoods, providing opportunities for empowerment with our housing education services, neighborhood revitalization and cleanup efforts, as well as our housing rehabilitation and new home construction.
